Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy is the assessment and manipulation of soft tissues and joints to improve blood flow, relieve muscle tension and alleviate discomfort and pain.

Why it Works

Massage therapy is beneficial for chronic pain, muscular overuse or everyday stress. Human touch is in itself healing and can release chemical endorphins in the body that relieve pain and improve mood. Massage can also eliminate or reduce inflammation by increasing joint mobility and the flow of fluids throughout the body.

How it Works

A massage therapist may use a variety of techniques to release tension and restore energy. Stretches, pressure points, effleurage, and deep tissue manipulation may be used. Because a combination of massage and shiatsu may be incorporated into a treatment, Integrated Bodywork does not use massage oils. You simply need to wear loose, comfortable clothing.

During the 11 years as a client of Ki-Hun Lee, I have received shiatsu, massage and osteopathic treatments to help with high blood pressure, elevated stress levels, physical injuries and emotional upsets. What sets Ki-Hun apart from other practitioners that I’ve had in the past is the combination of superior skill in the three treatment modalities with a caring and empathic bedside manner. I have highly recommended Ki-Hun to my family, friends and colleagues, many of which have become his clients. Mieko

I’ve been going to Ki-Hun Lee for about 4 years. My main problem is arthritis. After a combination of massage treatment & microcurrent, I am pain free, relaxed & full of energy. Eleanor
